I followed this link and got Rickrolled!
To be Rickrolled is when browsing internet forums, one comes across a link in a thread expecting to find one thing, but ends up at a website which has nothing to do with the topic being discussed in the thread.
The name Rick refers to 80s pop singer Rick Astley. This refers to the ebaumsworld epidemic where people linked a "really awesome video" and it turned out to be Rick Astley singing "Never Gonna Give You Up."
How to avoid being Rickrolled
Rickrolled is an internet phenomenon which happens when a hapless internet surfer clicks on a link with a promising headline such as, "check out this vid of hot chicks in panties!". However, after clicking the link, you will be brought to the music video of the 80's pop star Rick Astley performing the song "Never Gonna Give You Up".

The song "Never Gonna Give You Up" 's campy music video became the basis for an Internet phenomenon known as "rickrolling". It took its name from an earlier phenomenon known as "duckrolling", in which someone would post a blind link to a page allegedly relevant to a discussion that upon viewing would prove to be a non sequitur - specifically, an image of a duck on wheels, "Duckrolling" the viewer. This led to other "-rolls", including the tayroll (Linking to Tay Zonday's cult "Chocolate Rain" Youtube video) and eventually to the "Rickroll", taking the prefix from Astley's forename. This phenomenon grew, eventually becoming widespread enough to attract some coverage in the mainstream media.[4][5][6] As a result of the phenomenon, the four most-viewed copies of the music video on YouTube have received over 13 million hits as of March 17, 2008.[7][8][9][10].
The origin of the act itself can be traced back to the early 1990s, when VHS tapes were in circulation[citation needed]. A movie would be rented from video rental stores and have Rick Astley's music video edited over important parts of the film. Rental VHS tapes could only be recorded over if the viewer covered a small hole on the back of the cassette. This would allow the VCR to record over the tape.
